2018-19 MBS Parish Athletics Timeline
Parking:
Due to safety reasons, there is to be no parking or driving on the grass behind the church or on the baseball fields next to the football field. This area must remain open and accessible to emergency vehicles in the event they are needed.
Anyone who is picking up or dropping off sports player(s) is expected to follow this policy. Please inform anyone picking up or dropping off your child.
Issues of noncompliance with this policy will be brought to the attention of School Administration.
Drop-Off / Pick-Up areas are as follows: Church parking lot or gym parking lots.
Sickness/Tardiness Policy:
A.) Any student who is absent the entire school may not participate in a practice that day.
B.) Any student who checks out of school and does not return to school that day due to an illness may not participate in a practice that day.
C.) Any student who checks out of school for a non-illness related and returns to school may participate in practice that day.
D.) Parents should communicate to the head coach through email that the player will not be at practice due to illness.
E.) Any school absences due to other circumstances will be taken on an individual case basis and will be determined by the athletic director and/or school administration. Communication must be made to the athletic director or school administration.
Volunteer Requirements:
In order for parents to participate in any school function as a coach or volunteer on the MBS campus they must fulfill the requirements mandated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
Athletic Uniform Care Instructions:
Athletic uniforms are loaned out at the beginning of each season and will be returned to MBS Athletic Department at the end of each season. (A return date will be determined and posted on the website).
All uniforms must be properly handled while washing and drying so uniforms will last for several years. Failure to do so may result in paying for a replacement.
Please use these instructions while washing/drying:
*Do not use detergent with bleach
*Follow washing instructions on labels
* Wash uniforms inside out in cold water
* Hand-dry uniforms
*Do not alter the appearance of the game jersey or game shorts. If it does not fit properly, it will be swapped out.
*DO NOT CUT THE TAGS OUT OF THE UNIFORM!!
Any alterations without consent of the MBS Athletic Director, Christine Rabalais, will result in paying full price for the replacement.
If at any time during the fall sports season any jersey or pants/shorts has a defect please report it to the athletic department immediately.
Admission Fees:
Admission Fee for High School students and adults is $4 per person for school all school sports; 8th grade students and younger are free admission.
We have many different athletic items to purchase such as: Shirts, visors, insulated drinking cup, fold up fans, MBS pom poms, spirit towels and much more!
